My Little Hearts Beauty Pageant
Murray, KY - Tymeless Hearts, Inc. has announced May 27 is the deadline to enter the My Little Hearts Beauty Pageant to be held at the Tymeless Hearts Carnvival on June 25 at Chestnut St Park. The carnival will be from 10 am to 5 pm, and the beauty pageant will begin at 2 pm. Boys and girls ages newborn to 13 are invited to sign up. The entry fee is $25 and benefits Tymeless Hearts, Inc. to help families of children with heart defects.
Donation jars will be placed at the Plaid Rabbit at 209 North 12th St to vote for the most photogenic contestant June 4 to 18.

The National Quilt Museum Celebrates its 20th Anniversary Special Year-Long Events Kick Off During Quilt Week 2011
Paducah, KY - The National Quilt Museum announced that the kick-off to its year-long 20th Anniversary events will take place during the 2011 AQS Quilt Show. Numerous special events and exhibits are planned, including “Celebration!” an exciting exhibit specially created by the Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) to honor the Museum's 20th birthday. The Museum will also unveil “20 Quilts for 20 Years.”
“Dogwood Trail, Sentimental Studios,” the 20th Anniversary Fabric and table runner kit, from MODA Fabrics will be introduced Quilt Week. The annual Live Quilt Auction will take place Thursday, April 28th 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare
Murray, KY - The story: Composed in 1595 or 1596, most scholars believe that Shakespeare wrote A Midsummer Night's Dream as a light entertainment to accompany a marriage celebration. The show is a fun-filled contraption that involves two sets of couples whose romantic ills are complicated still further by their entrance into the play's fairyland woods where the King and Queen of the Fairies preside and cause trouble. New Quilts From an Old Favorite 2011
Paducah, KY - The National Quilt Museum announced it has opened two new exhibits: “New Quilts From an Old Favorite 2011: Orange Peel” and “The Color Orange: Antique Quilts from the Pilgrim Roy Collection.” The exhibit of winning quilts from this year’s annual New Quilts from an Old Favorite (NQOF) contest opens at the museum, and then travels to venues around the country for two years. Thousands of quilt lovers have enjoyed these traveling exhibits at museums around the country. A book featuring full-color photos of the finalists and award winning quilts, biographical information about each quilter, and tips, techniques, and patterns, is produced by the American Quilter’s Society.
The other exhibit, “The Color Orange: Antique Quilts from the Pilgrim Roy Collection” features cheddar and chrome orange electrified quilts from the 19th and early 20th centuries. See how quiltmakers of the past used these colors in their quilts. This exhibit is curated by Gerald Roy.
